Oatstraw Tonic (Avena sativa) ~ is one of our clients' favorites ~ for themselves and for their pets as well (let us know if you are ordering for a pet, please). Oatstraw is a nervine, that nourishes strong nerves and a strong positive spirit, helps us deal with stress (Vitamin B complex), lowers our cholesterol, improves and strengthens bones, relieves sadness, maintains restful sleep patterns & reduces the frequency and duration of headaches and useful for menopausal symptoms (particularly insomnia, depression, anxiety, stress, panic attcks, memory loss, restless legs).
Oatstraw offers a rich, mellow taste ~ and is also one of the best remedies for “ feeding” our nervous system , especially when we are under stress. For depression ~ our Tonic may be used with scullcap and mugwort. The high levels of silicic acid in the straw will explain its use as a remedy for skin conditions, especially extermally.
