Shamanic healing is deep, very deep. It's solid. It takes a commitment to the work, to yourself, to those who you work so intimately with. And this work may involve many layers of soul work. Shamanic healing involves having the courage and the trust in oneself to climb the mountain ~ while holding the hand of another and loving her, comforting her as we take each step of the journey together.
The powerful and life-changing trust shared between the Shaman healer and the individual is a Sacred gift indeed. This bond is without a weak link, the deep abiding trust between the two is unmistakable and the integrity with which the Shaman works is of the highest ~ always. When one trusts another with her soul, the bond and love between the two will forever be present, it will live in our souls forever.
In the Shaman Forest, the magical whispers of strange stirring creatures are heard and almost seen if one looks closely enough... The trees have their own language that few understand and hear. The animals play together as they plan their next adventure with the language and sounds of magical Gnomes. Sweet fragrances of innocence fill the air as Mother Earth gently covers her Forest with a dark protective cloak when the owl closes the day and introduces the magical energy of night. Those of us who find our way to this incredible Forest believe - in ourselves, in what we 'see' - we believe in our Power ~ and we believe in the Power of our work.
What happens when we experience a loss? A part of our soul may be lost, broken off and we had no way of knowing what was happening to us in the moment. We may feel lost and confused. We may feel like our spirit was broken or part of our spirit is no longer with us. How do we put it all back together? How do we find that part of ourselves we feel is no longer present? Where do we go for help?
Shamanic Soul Retrieval is a process ~ it's a journey. And this process involves more than finding that piece of one's soul and bringing it back. The process of Soul Retrieval may be long, it may be painful and it is sacred work. The person needing her healing must ask for assistance. She must be open and willing to do her healing work and she must be willing to accept her healing as a process, one step at a time. She must also be wiling to be vulnerable... It takes amazing courage to be willing to be vulnerable...
Shaman healers may be either gender. Traditionally, Shamans are chosen by Spirit and the work of a Shaman is to seek healing in non-ordinary reality. Working with her Power Animals, teachers and Guides a Shaman may restore and balance energy fields for her client, retrieve a part of the soul that is missing and/or prescribe healing rituals. Each healing is unique to the individual needing healing.
